    Now that I’ve got your attention, I’d love to spam you with some good news: The Student Legal Service, operated by senior law students from UTas and supervised by solicitors from community legal centres, has this year opened its doors for the first time as a FREE LEGAL ADVICE SERVICE! We cover issues from tenancy to environmental law, to wills and estate disputes and workplace relations – anything you can think of!

    The SLS has a dual purpose: helping clients from the broader community with their legal issues, and helping our law students develop practical legal skills. I have a vested interest as President of this year’s SLS Committee, so I’m appealing to our wonderful CrossFit community to utilise the Service – because the more clients we get in 2012, the more successful our 2013 funding applications will be!
