    "Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports".

‘The Brave Friday Night Hit-out’ Registration

HOW TO REGISTER IN THREE EASY STEPS:

Step 1.
Register for the CrossFit Open here and be sure to join your respective affiliate team. This step isn’t mandatory but highly recommended as it will allow you to enter your score each week and see how your effort ranked in your age group and region (this can be a heap of fun, but watch out it can become an obsession!)
‘The Brave Friday Night Hit-out’ Overall prize for best effort from both male and female will be awarded based on the athletes who ranked highest on the CrossFit Open Leaderboard (All 5 workouts must have been performed at CF42s on the respective nights of the Hit-out).
The weekly prize for best effort from both male and female will be awarded by best effort achieved on that given evening of ‘The Friday Night Hit-out’.

Step 2.
Download ‘The Brave Friday Night Hit-out’ Registration/Waiver form here. Complete and return with entry fee to either your respective affiliate or CF42s.
Early Entry Fee: $10 (up until Friday 1st March)
Late Entry Fee: $20 (Saturday 2nd March onwards)
Visiting CrossFitters Entry Fee: $20
Spectators: Free

Step 3.
Get around you fellow Tasmanian CrossFit community and encourage as many athletes as possible to participate.
Remember that this competition is primarily aimed at exposing the Tasmanian CrossFit community to the ‘sport’ of CrossFit. These competitions are an amazing way for you to push yourself to the limits and see what you are truly capable of in a fun and super supportive environment. There are very few sports in the world where you genuinely cheer your competitors on!
All levels of ability and experience are encouraged to enter. Scaling options will be provided.
